Terms of Service

Service and roles

ClipIndex is a marketplace for TikTok and YouTube Shorts campaigns. At registration, a user permanently selects advertiser or creator and must attest they are at least 18 before the first financial operation.

Balance and custody

Ethereum mainnet USDT and USDC deposits are credited 1:1 to an internal USD balance after 12 confirmations and a canonical-block recheck. This is custodial accounting: ClipIndex controls funds until settlement, refund, or confirmed withdrawal.

Deposits below $50 accumulate as pending. There is no automatic depeg freeze; price deviations are monitored and may trigger a manual emergency pause.

Open-pool campaign rules

Taking a campaign reserves no creator slot, money, or hidden verification capacity. Any number of creators may participate; one assignment exists per social profile and can contain multiple immutable submissions. New takes and submissions are accepted only between the UTC acceptingFrom and submissionDeadline.

Optional rules may set per-post and per-social-profile caps, minimum duration, followers, views and engagement, plus submission limits per profile and UTC day. After successful URL canonicalization, a terminal attempt consumes the submission cap, including ownership, metadata, or review failure. Idempotent replay and provider outage/429 do not consume it.

Formula, metrics, and settlement

For one eligible post, payout is fixed + CPM × verified views / 1,000 × the highest matching engagement multiplier. Thresholds are inclusive, tiers do not stack, and the multiplier applies only to CPM. The per-post cap, remaining profile cap, and remaining combined or platform pool are then applied; the final line may receive a partial payout.

Videos are checked for ownership, existence, metadata, publication time, followers, and the brief. After the measurement window, ClipIndex creates a ranking, an immutable draft, and a 48-hour hold with a recheck. Deleted, private, or anomalous videos are excluded before final atomic credit.

Reference assets and rights

When Banner or Music is selected, the advertiser supplies an allowed reference file or permitted platform sound URLs and attests that they have the rights to license, share with creators, and use the material in the campaign. Uploaded audio is only fingerprint-ready in the pilot and platform URLs are manual-only; the production analyzer, yt-dlp, and ffmpeg remain disabled.

Publication requirements and evidence

An advertiser may require a caption phrase or hashtag and a pinned-comment phrase. ClipIndex uses raw provider text only while a check runs, does not retain it, and stores the result, a minimal evidence hash, and operational metadata for the final recheck. YouTube comment text may be checked by the system while an operator confirms pin state; TikTok comment review is manual through the official share URL.

Withdrawals, fee, and refunds

The minimum creator withdrawal is $50. ClipIndex's only fee is 10% of the gross withdrawal and also funds gas. On a $100 withdrawal the creator receives $90. Creators must enable TOTP.

Advertisers have no self-service withdrawal. Unused escrow returns to the internal balance; an on-chain refund is requested through support and receives manual identity/wallet review. Operational decisions require a reason in the audit log.

Provider data, revoke, and acceptable use

For ownership and settlement, ClipIndex processes authorized YouTube/TikTok profile, video, and engagement data. On disconnect, ClipIndex invokes provider revoke, removes active tokens, and marks dependent submissions reauth_required. Illegal or platform-violating content, URL/identity spoofing, provider-video reuse, and authorization bypass are prohibited. Questions: support@clipindex.app.
